Biotechnology Research Microprobes
Lenox Laser Medical offers biotechnology microprobes serving the needs of the research community for:
Small-volume sampling and delivery of fluids and fluid-borne substances
Interrogation of tissue and fluid by fiber-coupled optical spectroscopy
Electrical signal sensing or stimulation
Temperature and pressure sensing and control
Microprobes are typically fashioned of 304 stainless tubing (25-75mm length) and an acetyl manifold body; other materials are available on request. Microprobes may be configured with 2, 3, 4 or 5 access ports for fluidic, electrical or optical fiber connections. Fluidic access ports are 27-g OD stainless tubing and may optionally be provided with Luer fittings. Microprobe tips may access target tissue or fluid via (1) an open end, (2) optical fiber penetrating an annular plug, or (3) a linear or cylindrical array of laser-drilled apertures.
Microprobe styles include:
Coaxial Double Lumen Microprobes |
| Multiport Manifold Microprobes |
Non-Restrictive Aperture Arrays |
| Fiber-Coupled Analytical Microprobes |
Fiber-Coupled Laser Photolytic Microprobes |
| Flat Circular Aperture Array Microprobes |
Acupuncture Sampling Microprobes |
